A dystopian environment inspired by the work of Andrej Rempel and The Last of Us
One of the biggest challenges in this project was to create materials within the space that looked convincingly worn and lived in. I enjoyed researching how materials naturally wear in day-to-day use and finding methods to execute what you see in this piece. This allowed them to look natural sitting together in the scene.
Using multiple roughness values, I wanted to create noise and texture to avoid a visually muddy scene. I also wanted to create a path for the viewers eyes to follow as they explore the scene in wonder (and the opportunity to loot this abandoned house).
